We studied a twenty-nine year old subject. The subject exercise at 35%Vo2max in the semi-supine posture at an ambient temperature of 25℃. Resting Tre was higher during the luteal phase than the follicular phase. There were no significant differences between the two phases in oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production, heart rate at rest and during exercise. The slope of R^h+C^h-Tre relationship during the follicular phases was more rapid than the luteal phases. 2) To investigate the effect of the menstrual cycle on handgrip exercise performance time. The subjects were five females aged 24-37 years with a history of regular menstrual cycles. The strength of handgrip exercise was performed with 20% power. The handgrip exercise performance during follicular phases improved compared to the luteal phases.
